French & Spanish Classes

Approach

Our teachers have an approach to language teaching which is firmly rooted in the communicative context. Use of authentic texts (newspaper articles, song texts, poems) is a regular feature of our classes.

Students can expect to be challenged in a supported environment. A comprehensive set of notes will be provided for students on our course. These will be invaluable when they return home to study.

Due to our small class sizes, our teachers are more than happy to provide students with personalised notes to ensure each student’s individual needs are met.

Class

The duration of each class is 2 hours.

Teacher : Pupil Ratio

We generally keep the number of students per class around 13 however in the past we have had it as low as 10 and as high as 15.

This ratio puts the focus on the pupils, ensuring that all camp members receive personal attention and quality tuition.

Level

The Academy caters for all levels of French & Spanish. Students will be assessed upon arrival and groups will be streamed accordingly.

Syllabus

The course is organised around modules, each focusing on one topic, and promotes communicative proficiency, language awareness and cultural awareness.
